Use items from nature, such as rocks, pine cones, and acorns for a mountain theme, or seashells & driftwood for a sea side theme.
The photo above shows an antique window that has been painted with a wedding message. The window can be left this way, or changed for a future event.
The candle is surrounded by tiny river rock, and the wooden carved love birds are a living room decoration.
The backdrop for this cake table is actually a brown shower curtain, with window coverings draped across the top. This was useful in hiding a not so pretty background.
Take a look around as you begin to create your wedding decorating theme, and you may find that everything you need is right there. Talk with your wedding planner for ideas, and possibly supplies that you can borrow.
